The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced the provision of free health and educational services to the Al-Nasiriyah Correctional Prison inmates. 

This came during the meeting between his eminence, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaie, the prison director.

Sheikh Kareem Al-Jaifari, the official in charge of the Prison Reporting Unit in the Religious Affairs Department of the Holy Shrine, said, “Sheikh Al-Karabalaie hosted the director of the Nasiriyah Correctional Prison for light sentences, Dr. Hashem Khalaf Al-Hamidawi, in his office inside the Holy Shrine, and expressed his assistance in providing services."

He added, "Sheikh Al-Karbalai approved the requests submitted by the prison director related to the religious aspect and health and educational services; he also approved equipping an X-ray, ultrasound, and dental equipment, as well as an integrated sewing factory equipped with 12 sewing machines."

He explained, "Sheikh al-Karbalai ensured to accept inmates to study at the Shrine's universities for free, as part of rehabilitation."
