The canteen department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues to provide hospitality services to visitors during the holy month of Ramadan.

Mohammad Ibrahim Hassan, assistant head of the department, stated, "The department continues to provide meals to the fasting pilgrims during Ramadan by opening two halls in the host and distributing more than 3,000 meals every day, in addition to setting up four tents near Al-Qibla Gate, divided for men and women, in which 5000 meals are distributed through them, for a total of 8000 meals. 

He noted, "There is another host dedicated to the Shrine's volunteers, orphans, and financially challenged families where 10,000 meals are provided daily."

He concluded, "Under the guidance of the representative of the supreme religious authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai, the food baskets were distributed to the needy families in Karbala. Noting that over 22,000 food baskets were distributed in the ten days of Ramdhan."
