The College of Engineering at the University of Karbala organised a scientific symposium in preparation for the eighth international scientific conference for the Arba'een pilgrimage on 3/3/2024, in cooperation with the Karbala Centre for Studies and Research at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.

Dr. Haidar Nadhim Al-Mahanna, the Dean of Engineering College at the University of Karbala, stated, "It is necessary to invest in scientific aspects to serve the Arba'een million pilgrimage."

He added, "It is important that some problems and issues be addressed, coinciding with the Al-Arbaeen pilgrimage, including pilgrims' transportation, taking them back safely to their homes. In addition, the college can manage work mechanisms that allow pilgrims to arrive safely in Karbala."

Abdul Ameer Al-Quraishi, the director of the Karbala Centre for Studies and Research, stated, "The Holy Shrine has permanent cooperation with the University of Karbala, and it is necessary to invest scientific energies in the University of Karbala to come up with outputs that support the given solutions." 

He stated, "The centre seeks, through researchers from various Iraqi universities, to provide recommendations to government agencies to ensure the quality of services provided during the Arba'een Pilgrimage."
