The Cooling Division at the Engineering and Technical Projects Department affiliated with Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced plans to set up a central air conditioning system for the courtyard and the shrine with 9000 tonnes to provide an appropriate atmosphere for the pilgrims coming to commemorate the pilgrimage.

Eng. Safaa Ali Hussain, the division official, said, "Within the plan developed by the department during the mid-Shaaban pilgrimage, the central air conditioning system was set."

He stated, "The plan included supplying the outdoor spaces and streets surrounding the Shrine, starting with al-Sidra Street and Shuhadaa Street, to include the rest of the areas nearing the Holy Shrine as it was provided with shade canopy systems. These canopies were provided with various decorations' lighting systems."

He added, "Preparations continue for the summer season and the Holy Month of Muharram for the Twairij run and the al-Arbaeen Pilgrimage."

It is stated that the Holy Shrine has mobilised all its departments and cadres, in addition to hospitals and medical centres, to provide the best services to the pilgrims coming to Karbala."
