Over 1,100 volunteers and affiliates participate in the medical plan during the Sha'baan Pilgrimage
Dr. Alaa Al-Janabi, the medical plan technical supervisor for the Sha'baan Pilgrimage that the Health and Medical Education Authority prepares at the Holy Shrine, said, "The medical plan for the pilgrimage will be launched on Sunday, February 25, 2024, with the participation of over 1,100 volunteers, the Shrine's affiliates from the health and medical authority, and several universities, including Al-Sibtain, Wareth, and Al-Zahraa.
He added, "The Health and Medical Education Authority employees will participate in all centres and all hospitals represented by Al-Wareth Hospital for Cancer Diseases, Imam Zain Al-Abidin Hospital, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Waeli Foundation, and Al-Mizan Centre. The Karbala Health Department also participates in the medical plan."
He continued, "There will be more than 150 mobile paramedics with 120 first-aid bags and four advanced first-aid bags containing oxygen and an electric shock device, as well as detachments with 150 volunteers and ICU devices from the Special Operations Directorate in the Iraqi Ministry of Health that will participate in the pilgrimage.
He concluded, "The emergency centres will be in al-Safeer Hospital and Al-Aqeela Courtyard. There are other centres in al-Sidraa Street, Imam al-Mahdi site (Maqam), and inside the Holy Shrine, as two centres for men and women, and the detachments are fully equipped with the necessary devices and equipment."
