The Holy Shrine allocates 6 billion IQD for the students at Wareth University
The man in charge of Wareth al-Anbiyaa University (PBUH), Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Hayawi, said, "According to the directives of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai, he directed supporting the students who study at the university.
Hayawi explained, "The amount of support provided to the students has reached over 6 billion IQD for various colleges."
He continued, "The support included several categories, including a free scholarship for the 70 students in the College of Medicine. In addition, discounts were given to 2000 out of 7,000 students, noting that the reductions ranged from 30%–50%–to 100%, depending on the students' financial conditions.
He added, "His eminence also directed to reduce the fees for families with low incomes, orphans, Quran's memorizers, marrieds, and Holy Shrine's affiliates."
He stated, "The goal of Imam Hussain's Holy Shrine General Secretariat in establishing universities is not for investment or profit, but to support academic study in Iraq."
