Karbala witnesses the inauguration of a first-of-a-kind modern city for blind and visually impaired

Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced the completion of all engineering designs for the modern city project dedicated to the blind and visually impaired in Karbala.


A'mer Hashimal-Shammari, the official of the blind and visually impaired institutes affiliated with the Holy Shrine, stated to the Karbala International Agency, "The final designs for the modern city located on the Karbala-Najaf road have been completed, as it is one of a kind in the whole country and the middle east, with an area of 40 thousand m2."



Al-Shammari stated that the city was planned with modern global standards in mind, aiming to prepare its people for social interaction. Additionally, the exterior designs were influenced by Brille's style.


He concluded, "The city contains various services, including swimming pools, closed sports halls, and other services, including accommodation and rest houses for guests and professors arriving from other governorates."
