A delegation from Imam Hussain Holy Shrine visited the Sunni Endowment Office to discuss the topics of the Second International Conference on Countring Extremism and Terrorism and its desired goals.

Sheikh Ali al-Qarawi, the head of the delegation, the head of the Al-Bayna Centre for Intellectual and Cultural Security, and a member of the conference's committee, said, "During our visit, we met with the Director of the Moderation Department at the Endowment, Mr. Adnan Al-Hamedi, mentioning the importance of holding such conferences to counter extremism and terrorism."

He added, "The conference will include a speech by the Sunni Endowment as well as discussions about holding future workshops and forums in cooperation between the two sides."

The Director of the Moderation Department at the Sunni Endowment Office welcomed the present delegation, saying, "We are happy with what the Holy Shrine is offering in terms of holding conferences, workshops, and forums that aim to reject sectarianism and discrimination, instill the spirit of citizenship, brotherhood, and cooperation among all the Iraqi people, and combat extremist thought."
