As academic year begins, Amerli campaign supports children of martyrs
As the new academic year begins, the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has launched a campaign to support the children of martyrs in the Amerli district of Salah Al-Din Governorate, distributing school uniforms, backpacks, and educational supplies to more than 150 students.
Imad Al-Jash'ami, Head of the Media Unit at the Department for the Care of Martyrs and Wounded Families, said the campaign was designed to support children of martyrs in the district by providing school uniforms and backpacks filled with essential educational materials and stationery.
He explained that the initiative is part of the Holy Shrine’s broader programs supporting the children of martyrs, with a focus on their educational and developmental needs. The campaign also aims to help ease the financial burden on families at the start of the school year.
Al-Jash'ami said Amerli was selected in recognition of the sacrifices made by its residents and the hardships faced by families of martyrs. He added that the initiative forms part of a broader support program being implemented by the Holy Shrine for children of martyrs and the wounded across several Iraqi governorates.
He further affirmed that the educational support program will continue and expand to additional governorates, with the goal of reaching as many children of martyrs and the wounded as possible, supporting their education while helping ease the financial pressures on their families.
