The 13th “Bediuzzaman Said Nursi” International Conference, themed “Quranic Solutions for the Problems of Contemporary Civilization,” will be held in Istanbul from October 4 to 6.

Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Science, the conference will bring together academics, researchers, and thinkers from around the world to examine contemporary challenges—including war and injustice, threats to the family, digital transformation, and environmental and economic crises—through the guidance of the Holy Quran.

The organizers received 668 research abstracts from five continents, 60 countries, and 448 institutions. Following review, 262 papers were selected for presentation.

The opening ceremony will take place on October 4 at the Atatürk Cultural Center, followed by academic sessions on October 5 and 6 at the Pullman Istanbul Hotel & Convention Center.

Topics will include justice and civilization, global peace, human rights and freedoms, family and youth, governance, Islamic unity, and consumer culture.

Bayram Özer, head of the scientific committee, said the conference would examine global crises through their economic, political, technological, ethical, and spiritual dimensions.

“We will evaluate the impact of current issues on the human quest for meaning, ethics, justice, and spirituality.”

Said Yüce, chairman of the foundation’s Board of Trustees, said the conference would explore how the Quranic principles of truth, virtue, and brotherhood can respond to wars, injustice, and moral challenges.

The event also aims to foster long-term scholarly cooperation among researchers from diverse regions.
