His Eminence Allama Sayed Ahmed Al-Ashkouri visited the Imam Hussain Cultural Center in Islamabad, accompanied by a delegation of religious and cultural figures. The delegation was also accompanied by the representative of the Religious Authority in Pakistan, Allama Sheikh Anwar Ali Al-Najafi.

During the visit, Allama Al-Ashkouri and the accompanying delegation received a comprehensive briefing on the center’s religious, scholarly, and cultural activities, as well as its various programs and events. The briefing highlighted the center’s efforts to promote the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them), while fostering communication, dialogue, and understanding among Pakistan’s diverse religious and sectarian communities.

The distinguished guests welcomed the establishment of an office of the Media Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in Pakistan, describing it as an important step toward strengthening religious and cultural ties between Iraq and Pakistan and expanding opportunities for cooperation between religious and cultural institutions in the two countries.

They emphasized that the office can play an important role in introducing Pakistani audiences to the scholarly, religious, and cultural activities of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine. They also noted its potential to promote the Hussaini message, the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them), and universal human and ethical values.

For his part, Allama Sayed Ahmed Al-Ashkouri described the initiative as a valuable means of promoting coexistence and harmony among followers of different religions and schools of thought, strengthening mutual respect, and expanding the scope of religious and cultural dialogue.

He stressed that the message of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) transcends sectarian and religious boundaries, embodying universal human values that can serve as common ground for bringing together the diverse communities of society.
