Marking the birth anniversary of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), the Jinnah Convention Centre in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, hosted an International Conference on the Prophet’s Life. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony of the Government of Pakistan.

Held under the theme “Protecting and Building the New Generation and Its Role in Light of the Prophet’s Life,” the conference addressed various dimensions of the noble life of the Prophet, with particular emphasis on the intellectual, moral, and social development of the younger generation. Discussions highlighted the importance of character building, sound education, and strengthening young people’s connection to Islamic values and principles.

Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif attended the event as the keynote guest, while Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, supervised the organization and proceedings of the conference.

The conference brought together prominent scholars and religious leaders representing various Islamic schools of thought and denominations from across Pakistan, as well as religious, academic, and social figures and representatives from diverse sectors of Pakistani society.

Speakers emphasized that the life of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) provides a comprehensive model for nurturing and reforming the younger generation and for building a society founded on security, stability, righteousness, and mutual respect. They stressed the importance of drawing upon the Prophetic approach to address the intellectual, moral, and social challenges confronting young people today.

Maulana Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of Pakistan’s Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and Khateeb of the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, also addressed the conference. He underscored the importance of nurturing young people in accordance with the teachings and example of the Noble Prophet, promoting unity among Muslims and interfaith harmony, and strengthening the values of peace, tolerance, and coexistence within society.

The event was attended by various ministers and government officials, alongside a large number of ambassadors, scholars, religious leaders, and prominent social figures, as well as a host of distinguished guests.

Participants noted that the new generation currently faces multifaceted intellectual, ethical, and social challenges. They emphasized that addressing these issues requires returning to the teachings of the noble Prophetic biography and adopting them as a practical guide for daily life. They affirmed that the life of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) serves as a comprehensive model of justice, mercy, love, tolerance, brotherhood, and noble character.

The conference also underscored the importance of intensifying efforts to enhance the ethical and intellectual upbringing of the new generation and to instill in them an awareness of their social and national responsibilities. This is to be achieved through collaboration among scholars, educational institutions, families, religious and social organizations, and government bodies.

The proceedings affirmed that the noble Prophetic biography is not merely a historical record of the Prophet’s life; rather, it offers a comprehensive, practical framework for building the individual, the family, and society, while reinforcing ethical and social values ​​in contemporary life.

The conference concluded by emphasizing the need to integrate the Prophetic biography more deeply into the lives of the new generation. It highlighted the importance of drawing upon the Prophet’s guidance to cultivate a generation that is conscious, ethical, and responsible, thereby contributing to the establishment of a society defined by peace, unity, coexistence, and stability.
