The 4th Fatimiya Women’s Forum for Leadership and Strategy opened Tuesday at Al-Sibtayn University for Medical Sciences, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain. Organized by the Warith Academy for Sustainable Development and Strategic Studies, the six-day forum brings together 60 women from across Iraq to develop leadership, intellectual, and strategic skills and strengthen their roles in family, society, and institutions.

The program covers self-management, personal development, personal branding, communication, and decision-making, alongside cultural sessions examining leadership and intellectual role models such as Lady Fatima Al-Zahra, Lady Khadija Al-Kubra, and Imam Hasan (peace be upon them). It also addresses social reform, identity, and positive influence.

Ahmed Al-Shahristani, Deputy Head of the Warith Academy, said the forum provides a platform for learning and dialogue while empowering women to address family and societal challenges. He noted that participants hold diplomas or higher qualifications and include educators, senior university students, and administrative professionals.

Participant Bahija Hassan, who has attended two previous editions, said the programs helped her strengthen her professional and personal skills, particularly in balancing work and family responsibilities and improving communication. She expressed her appreciation to the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and the Warith Academy for their continued efforts to support women’s development.
