Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein on Wednesday reiterated Iraq's rejection of what it described as ongoing Israeli violations in Jerusalem, urging a unified Arab response and greater international action to protect the city.

Speaking at an Arab ministerial meeting on Jerusalem, Hussein reaffirmed Iraq's support for the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and condemned Israeli policies in the city.

He also rejected what Iraq described as attempts at forced displacement and the expansion of Israeli settlements in Jerusalem, stressing that safeguarding the city's status is a shared responsibility.

Hussein called on the international community to take effective measures to halt the violations and uphold international law.
