The Moroccan city of Tifelt hosted a grand annual procession celebrating students who had completed memorization of the Holy Quran, drawing religious leaders, local officials, and residents in a vibrant display of faith and tradition.

The event was held under the Quranic verse, “Indeed, it is We who sent down the Quran, and indeed, We will be its guardian” (Surah Al-Hijr, 15:9).

The procession was organized by a Quranic school affiliated with Al-Quds Mosque in cooperation with the local council of scholars, the regional representative of Morocco's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, and local authorities. It began at the Tifelt municipal building and concluded at Al-Quds Mosque.

Led by security forces, the procession featured students dressed in traditional Moroccan attire, riding horses and carrying Quranic tablets while participants recited religious hymns and praises of the Prophet. Residents lined the streets to witness the celebration, which reflects Morocco's longstanding tradition of honoring Quranic education.

The annual event recognizes students for years of dedication to memorizing the Quran while highlighting the role of Quranic schools in preserving Islamic teachings and promoting the values of moderation and tolerance. Families and community members praised the ceremony for reinforcing religious and national identity and encouraging younger generations to engage with the Holy Quran and its teachings.
