Imam Hussain Center in Istanbul hosts mosque imams to strengthen cooperation and community support
The Imam Hussain Center in Istanbul, affiliated with the Media Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, hosted Sayed Ali Orak Hidayi, Imam of Al-Muhammadiyya Mosque, and Sheikh Muhammad Ali Gök, Imam of Abu Talib Mosque, to discuss opportunities for cooperation and support for the two mosques, which serve as important religious and cultural centers for followers of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) in Turkey.
Sabah Al-Taliqani, Director of the Imam Hussain Center, said the meeting reflected the Holy Shrine's commitment to strengthening intellectual, religious, and educational engagement within the community.
"These visits are significant because they foster cooperation that helps build a community rooted in the teachings and principles of the Imams of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them)," he said. "Through its support, the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine seeks to empower mosques that serve the followers of the Ahlulbayt, as well as the Iraqi and broader Arab communities in Turkey."
For his part, Sayyid Ali Orak Hidayi highlighted ongoing efforts to translate major works of the Imami school of thought into Turkish and make them accessible through bookstores and digital platforms.
"We are honored to carry out this translation project in cooperation with the Media Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine through the International Media Center and the Imam Hussain Center in Istanbul," he said.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Muhammad Ali Gök, Imam of Abu Talib Mosque in Istanbul's Avcılar district, stressed the importance of continued coordination to expand religious and cultural programs.
"These meetings are essential for developing future initiatives and enhancing programs that commemorate the occasions associated with the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them)," he said. "We will continue to dedicate every effort to serving Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and contributing effectively to the media and outreach activities of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine."
