Najaf and the Imam Ali Holy Shrine adorned in preparation for Eid Al-Ghadir
The holy city of Najaf has taken on a festive appearance as preparations intensify for Eid Al-Ghadir, with streets, public spaces, and the surroundings of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine decorated with banners, flags, lights, and symbols commemorating the occasion.
According to media reports, the Imam Ali Holy Shrine has launched an extensive decoration campaign across the city, particularly along major roads, entrances to Najaf, and the areas surrounding the shrine, in anticipation of receiving large numbers of visitors during the celebrations.
The project has already seen the installation of approximately 1,000 square meters of banners and decorative displays, with an additional 1,600 to 2,000 square meters currently being prepared as part of the shrine’s Eid Al-Ghadir program.
Technical and service teams have also completed the installation of festive lighting, congratulatory signs, and decorative elements throughout the shrine’s courtyards and surrounding areas, creating an atmosphere that reflects the significance of the occasion.
The Holy Shrine’s Eid Al-Ghadir program is expected to feature a variety of religious, cultural, and intellectual activities, including lectures, seminars, central celebrations, poetry gatherings, and devotional recitations.
Images and videos shared on social media have highlighted the city’s vibrant decorations, showcasing Najaf’s preparations for one of the most important religious occasions observed by the followers of Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them).
