The General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain has dispatched a specialized medical delegation to Wasit Governorate, targeting the districts of Al-Zubaidiya and Al-Kut. The team, drawn from Safeer Al-Imam Al-Hussain and Khadija Al-Kubra Hospitals, is tasked with examining patients and referring those in need of surgical procedures to the hospitals’ main facilities in Karbala, where operations will be performed free of charge at the Shrine’s expense.

Engineer Abbas Abdul Ali, Administrative Director of Safeer Al-Imam Al-Hussain Surgical Hospital, stated that the initiative comes in line with the directives of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaey.

He added that the delegation includes 14 male and female physicians representing seven different medical specialties, working to assess and treat residents requiring medical care.

Upon arrival in Wasit, the team immediately began receiving patients, examining thousands and referring hundreds to Karbala for free surgical treatment at the two hospitals.
