Commemoration of the Martyrdom of Imam Jafar Al-Sadiq (Peace Be Upon Him) Continues in Istanbul’s Suburbs
As part of ongoing commemorations honoring the Imams of the Ahlulbayt (the Household of the Prophet)—peace be upon them all—a program marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jafar Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) was held at the mosque bearing his blessed name in Istanbul’s Zeytinburnu district.
Sheikh Muhammad Ali Gök, a participant in the event, described Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) as the “Father of Islamic Jurisprudence” and the Sixth Imam. He affirmed the community’s steadfast commitment to commemorating his legacy, along with all occasions connected to the Ahlulbayt, with deep love and sincerity.
The gathering was attended by notable figures, including Ihid Talan, Head of the Council of Senior Scholars, along with several council members, representatives of civil society organizations, and a large number of devotees of the Ahlulbayt.
It is worth noting that regions across the Republic of Turkey regularly host events dedicated to the Imams of the Ahlulbayt. These commemorations reflect a deeply rooted love for the Ahlulbayt shared by people of diverse backgrounds and affiliations.
