The Department of Youth Social Development and Rehabilitation, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, organized an in-depth dialogue seminar titled “Building a Leadership Personality in the Thought of Imam Ali (peace be upon him)” as part of its strategic efforts to develop staff capacity and enhance institutional performance.

Ali Zaki Kamil Al-Tamimi, Head of the Department, emphasized the importance of adopting leadership principles inspired by the teachings and example of Imam Ali and the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them). He noted that the seminar focused on strengthening concepts of administrative leadership and identifying the essential qualities of effective leaders, contributing to professional growth and encouraging a shift from traditional management approaches to more dynamic leadership models.

He explained that the seminar covered several key themes, including the intellectual framework derived from the teachings of Imam Ali—presented as a comprehensive model of leadership—alongside topics such as human development, administrative psychology, and personality analysis. The discussions also highlighted the concept of a “leadership personality” and the defining traits of successful administrative leaders.

Al-Tamimi added that this initiative is part of a broader series of developmental programs aimed at enhancing the administrative and leadership capacities of department staff, drawing on the rich intellectual legacy of Imam Ali in ways that positively impact the institutional work environment.

The seminar was organized by the Social Development Division, an affiliate of the Department of Youth Social Development and Rehabilitation, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the intellectual and professional capabilities of its personnel.
