Across 17 Iraqi governorates: Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announces results of its annual Ramadan Quranic program

The Holy Quran House Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the outcomes of its annual Ramadan Quranic program, which featured recitations (khatmas) and seminars across 17 Iraqi governorates as part of its efforts to promote Quranic culture and strengthen religious awareness.

Wissam Nadheer Al-Dulfi, Head of the Quranic Media Center, stated that the program witnessed wide participation from various segments of society. He explained that a total of 253 Quranic recitations were organized, including 133 for men and 95 for women, with 220 recitations conducted through the department’s branches across the governorates.

He added that 25 recitations were held the Quranic Project in Iraqi universities. Meanwhile, the central recitation ceremony at the shrine’s holy courtyard featured five sessions led by reciters representing holy shrines and different provinces.

The program also included an interpretive recitation series presented by Sheikh Dr. Khair Al-Din Al-Hadi, focusing on Quranic verses relevant to contemporary issues.

Al-Dulfi noted that the central ceremony brought together reciters from holy shrines and Quranic institutions across Iraq, along with members of the security forces, tribal leaders, volunteers serving Hussaini processions in Karbala Governorate, and university professors.

This program reflects the growing engagement with Quranic activities at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and underscores its commitment to fostering spiritual values and expanding Quranic outreach across Iraqi society.
