Basra: Al-Thaqalayn Academy for Autism earns Arab Board accreditation
The Al-Thaqalayn Academy for Autism and Developmental Disorders—affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine—has announced its official accreditation by the Arab Board of Medical Specializations, designating it as a certified training and treatment center.
Dr. Murtada Ali stated that the accreditation marks a significant milestone, strengthening the Academy’s position as a leading scientific and medical institution in Iraq. He explained that the achievement followed sustained efforts to build a comprehensive training environment aligned with the latest international standards.
He added that the Academy is committed to expanding its therapeutic and rehabilitation services while enhancing scientific cooperation with reputable medical institutions—steps expected to improve the quality of healthcare and elevate Iraq’s standing in this specialized field.
This milestone reflects the broader vision of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to advance psychiatry and neurology services in Iraq by supporting specialized institutions, training qualified medical professionals, and delivering healthcare that meets global standards.
