Imam Hussain Holy Shrine launches fourth edition of “Developing the Hussaini Family” competition
The Youth Social Development and Rehabilitation Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has launched the fourth edition of its “Developing the Hussaini Family” competition, an initiative aimed at strengthening Iraqi families and promoting religious and spiritual awareness.
Ali Zaki Al-Tamimi, Head of the Department, stated that the program seeks to support the development of Iraqi families by encouraging their participation in a series of pre-prepared questions that are answered electronically. He noted that the initiative is organized by the department’s Social Development Division.
Al-Tamimi explained that the competition consists of two stages. In the first stage, participants respond to a question presented by the program’s organizers and receive a commemorative gift for their participation. In the second stage, participants receive a QR code that provides access to the main competition, which is completed electronically during the month of Ramadan and includes 40 diverse questions.
He added that the first round of the competition was held in the modern gardens of the Sayyid Al-Awsiya City for Pilgrims, where families from outside Karbala Governorate gathered alongside local families to participate in the program.
Al-Tamimi noted that the organizers intentionally chose the holy month of Ramadan to host the competition because of its spiritual significance for families. The program will continue to be held on Friday evenings in the gardens of the pilgrim cities and the plant nurseries affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.
