A religious delegation from Gaziantep in southern Turkey visited the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in Karbala as part of efforts to strengthen communication and promote peaceful coexistence among Muslim communities.

Sabah Al-Taliqani, program coordinator and director of the Imam Hussain Cultural Center in Turkey, which is affiliated with the shrine’s media department, said the delegation included religious scholars and students of Arabic and Islamic studies, headed by Mahmoud Al-Rifai. He explained that the visit aimed to perform pilgrimage rites and lay the groundwork for joint cooperation in reviving the heritage of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) and deepening spiritual ties among Muslims.

Al-Rifai described the visit as a “divine blessing,” expressing gratitude for the opportunity to pay respects at the shrine. He voiced hope that the visit would mark the beginning of ongoing engagement and open channels of communication with the holy shrines to strengthen unity and shared humanitarian values among Muslims.
