The Engineering Projects Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the start date for the Bein Al-Haramein expansion project, which covers the area between the holy shrines of Imam Hussain and Al-Abbas (peace be upon them).

The head of the department, Engineer Hussein Redha Mahdi, stated that the expansion work is scheduled to begin within six months.

He confirmed that the Bein Al-Haramein area will not be affected during construction, as all works will be carried out underground through the construction of two basement levels.

He further explained that this step forms part of the major expansion plan of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, adding that the project involves the construction of two underground basements executed by specialized professionals with expertise in this field.
