Baghdad International Fair witnesses launch of a new generation of digital services

On the sidelines of the 49th Baghdad International Fair, the Director General of the Iraqi Insurance Company, Asim Hamid Al-Shawka, announced the launch of a new generation of insurance services designed to keep pace with global digital advancements. The initiative includes an integrated electronic platform and a smart assistant, aimed at providing citizens with fast, transparent, and efficient access to services.

Al-Shawka emphasized that the company’s participation comes under the direct guidance of the Ministry of Finance, reflecting efforts to strengthen the role of the insurance sector as a key partner in supporting the national economy and safeguarding both foreign and local investments in the heart of the capital, Baghdad.

Meanwhile, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Japanese Embassy in Baghdad, Hiroshi Honjo, described Japan’s participation in the fair as a “milestone,” noting that 19 Japanese companies specializing in energy and infrastructure are taking part to offer technological solutions that support Iraq’s industrial growth.

In the same context, the head of Toyota Iraq, Sardar Al-Baybani, announced expansion plans that include increasing the company’s network to 40 maintenance centers and showrooms across the country, in addition to bringing in Japanese experts to train and enhance the skills of young Iraqis.
