The Holy Shrine of Imam Al-Kadhim commemorates the Prophet’s Mab’ath and the International Day of the Holy Quran
The Holy Quran Department at the Holy Shrine of Imam Al-Kadhim held its annual Quranic gathering in the Hall of our master Abdullah ibn Abdul-Muttalib (peace be upon him), located within the shrine’s sacred courtyard. The event marked the blessed anniversary of the Prophet’s Mab’ath and coincided with the International Day of the Holy Quran. It was attended by a group of individuals interested in Quranic affairs, along with a large number of visitors to the holy shrines of Imams Al-Kadhim and Al-Jawad (peace be upon them).
According to the official website of the Holy Shrine of Imam Al-Kadhim, the gathering featured recitations by Blasim Jalil, a reciter from the Holy Shrine of Imam Al-Askari, and Sayyid Qasim Al-Zamili, a reciter from the Holy Shrine of Imam Al-Kadhim. Their blessed recitations resonated throughout the sacred courtyard, filling the atmosphere with peace and spiritual serenity.
The website added that His Eminence Sayed Riyad Al-Hasani delivered an enriching lecture as part of the Quranic Insights series, focusing on the mission of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). The lecture highlighted the dimensions of the message of the Holy Prophet and its vital role in building individuals and society.
The gathering concluded with a performance by the Al-Jawadain chanting group, who presented the anthem “This Is the Book of Allah,” followed by a question-and-answer session and the distribution of gifts blessed by Imams Al-Kadhim and Al-Jawad (peace be upon them). The event ended with prayers for the hastening of the reappearance of the Imam of the Age, Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his honorable reappearance).
The website also noted that the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Al-Kadhim continues to advance its pioneering Quranic project, dedicating sustained efforts to spreading Quranic education and culture and enhancing religious awareness in society, in the belief that the Holy Quran is a guiding light for all humanity.
