The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, offered his condolences to the supreme religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Ali Al-Sistani, following the passing of his brother, Sayyid Hadi Al-Sistani.

In a statement received by Karbala Now News Agency, Al-Azhar said that Dr. El-Tayeb extended his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to Grand Ayatollah Al-Sistani on the loss of his brother, who passed away after a period of illness. The statement added that he prayed to Almighty God to envelop the deceased in His vast mercy and forgiveness, and to grant patience and comfort to his family and loved ones.
