The General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali announced on Friday the unveiling of a project for the comprehensive rehabilitation and regilding of the Grand Golden Iwan within the sacred shrine.

The head of the Media Department at the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali, Haider Rahim, stated that the unveiling ceremony for the project took place in the presence of a number of religious, academic, and official figures.

Rahim added that the project was carried out by the staff of the gold workshop affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali, under the direct supervision and continuous follow-up of the shrine’s Secretary-General. He emphasized that the regilding work fully preserved the iwan’s original heritage design, with no alterations made to its architectural features.
