He noted that the award is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the Islamic Republic of Iran and features broad global artistic participation, reflecting the universality of the Arbaeen message and its status as a humanitarian event that transcends borders.
Al-Shershahi explained that this year’s competition received 35,816 artistic submissions, highlighting the high level of competition and the global prestige of the award. He added that earning such recognition provides a unique mark of distinction and international acknowledgment.
He further emphasized that the Arbaeen International Award is among the leading competitions supporting young photographers. Beyond honoring winners, it builds self-confidence, offers a genuine platform to present creative work to wide audiences and specialized judging panels, and helps refine artistic skills. The award, he said, encourages continuous development and healthy competition, contributing to the advancement of photography and giving emerging talents the opportunity to excel.
