The Al-Noor Factory for the Production of Renewable Electrical Energy Equipment, affiliated with the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, has announced an annual production capacity of 120,000 solar panels, manufactured using the latest global technologies. The initiative aims to promote the use of clean energy while supporting the national economy through productive projects that generate hundreds of employment opportunities.

Diaa Majeed Al-Saigh, Head of the Engineering Projects Department at the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, stated that the Al-Noor Factory currently produces more than 10,000 crystalline silicon solar panels per month, specifically designed for solar power generation and manufactured using world-class technologies. He emphasized that the factory is the first of its kind in Iraq and has received official certification from the Ministry of Electricity.

He added that the factory’s collaboration with the Ministry of Electricity is intended to support Iraq’s national power grid. In addition, the factory has been awarded a certificate of excellence from the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, affiliated with the Ministry of Planning, while its production equipment has obtained international ISO quality certification.

Al-Saigh noted that the factory operates with advanced manufacturing technologies and utilizes Italian robotic systems, similar to those employed by the French energy company Total in its clean energy projects in Iraq.

He further explained that the factory currently provides more than 300 job opportunities, with expectations of increased employment in the coming phase as production capacity and facilities expand. These opportunities span a wide range of engineering, technical, and skilled labor fields, according to Al-Alam Al-Jadeed newspaper.

Al-Saigh concluded by stating that the factory will supply educational, industrial, and agricultural institutions affiliated with the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine with integrated solar power systems, including the installation of solar power stations. The project also contributes to strengthening Iraq’s national economy and advancing sustainable development through the creation of hundreds of jobs and the promotion of renewable energy solutions.
