The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through its Exhibitions Division, is participating in the 26th Baghdad International Book Fair, which opened on Wednesday morning, September 10. The event features more than 220 publishing houses from Iraq, the Arab world, and abroad, and will run for ten days.

Sayed Ali Mamitha, Head of the Exhibitions Division, stated, “Our participation in this significant cultural event is part of our ongoing involvement in both local and international exhibitions. It reflects our commitment to promoting a culture of reading and raising awareness of the Shrine’s most notable intellectual and cultural contributions across various fields.”

He noted that this year’s participation builds on previous successes, with a dedicated pavilion showcasing a wide range of publications that cater to all audiences.

“Our presence here continues a series of achievements from past editions of the fair, which serves as one of the key platforms through which the Holy Shrine engages with the wider public,” he added. “The books and publications on display reflect the scale of the cultural activity and the scientific and intellectual renaissance currently underway at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine (peace be upon him).”

Mamitha emphasized that all displayed titles are original works—authored, edited, and printed entirely by the Holy Shrine. “This year’s collection is marked by its diversity, modernity, and depth across cultural, intellectual, and heritage topics, setting our pavilion apart from others at the exhibition,” he said.
