Al-Askariyain Holy Shrine prepares for upcoming scientific conference on Samarra
The Al-Askariyain Holy Shrine continues its preparations for the Fourth Scientific Conference, titled “Samarra in Light of Sharia and Law.” The scientific committee held its latest meeting at the Samarra Heritage Center to review progress and follow up on the research papers submitted for the event.
According to a statement on the Shrine’s official website, the meeting focused on mechanisms for evaluating research submissions using rigorous academic standards to ensure the conference maintains a high level of scholarly integrity. The committee also stressed the importance of enhancing communication with universities that have not yet submitted their contributions and encouraged researchers to participate by submitting papers that support the conference themes and highlight Samarra’s rich scientific and cultural legacy.
The conference is scheduled to take place in November 2025, under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Al-Askariyain Holy Shrine. The scientific committee has announced that:
October 1, 2025, is the deadline for submitting research abstracts.
November 1, 2025, is the deadline for submitting full research papers.
This conference is part of the Holy Shrine’s ongoing efforts to promote Samarra’s historical and intellectual significance through academic dialogue and scholarly engagement.
