The Iraqi Ministry of Interior has announced that more than 4.1 million foreign pilgrims from 140 countries took part in this year’s Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).

In a statement received by Karbala Now News Agency, ministry spokesperson Colonel Abbas Al-Bahadli confirmed the figures, highlighting the event's immense scale and international reach.

He mentioned that this number reflects the wide diversity of nationalities participating and reaffirmed the truly global nature of this annual religious gathering, hosted by the holy city of Karbala.

The Arbaeen pilgrimage continues to stand as one of the world’s largest peaceful human gatherings, drawing millions from across the globe in a unified expression of devotion, mourning, and solidarity with the message of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).
