Brigadier General Muqdad Miri, spokesperson for the Supreme Committee for Mass Pilgrimages, confirmed that the security and organizational plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimage is proceeding smoothly, with no significant security breaches reported in any of Iraq’s governorates so far.

In a daily briefing, Brig. Gen. Miri stated, “There is complete stability across all areas of responsibility and along all routes leading to Karbala. The flow of pilgrims remains high, having peaked yesterday and today.”

He added that the Security and Services Committee, headed by the Minister of Interior, carried out inspection tours in Babylon and Baghdad governorates, closely reviewing both security and service arrangements.

Miri emphasized that the coordination and logistics plan is running as intended, noting that “all roads remain fully open, except in limited areas where terrain naturally restricts access.” He concluded by stating that “the rate of entry into the holy city of Karbala from all directions has now reached 100%.”
