Karbala: 60,000 participate in nationwide Quranic courses
The Al-Abbas Holy Shrine has announced that 60,000 students from across various Iraqi governorates participated in this year’s summer Quranic courses, organized by the Scientific Academy of the Holy Quran.
During the closing ceremony held at the Abi Al-Fadl Al-Abbas Service Complex, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Tamimi, Deputy Head of the Scientific Academy, emphasized the significance of these courses. "The summer Quranic programs are not merely seasonal events," he stated, "but a strategic initiative born from a deep understanding of the importance of instilling the Quran’s teachings in the hearts of future generations. Through these efforts, we aim to nurture conscience, awaken minds, and raise individuals guided by the divine words of the Quran—especially in a time when moral values face challenges and confusion."
Dr. Al-Tamimi further remarked, "Today, as we conclude this year’s summer courses, we proudly reflect on reaching 60,000 students across Iraq. This is not only a moment of achievement for the students but also a journey of growth for instructors, supervisors, and parents alike."
Held annually during the summer break, the Quranic courses aim to engage students in meaningful and spiritually enriching activities. The initiative seeks to raise a righteous generation devoted to the Holy Quran and the principles of Islam, in accordance with the teachings of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them).
