The Philippine Halal Trade and Tourism Expo (PHTTE) will be held at the SMX Convention Center in SM Lanang, Davao City. The event aims to highlight the growing potential of the Halal industry by bringing together micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), industry leaders, investors, academics, and consumers.

With the theme “Showcasing Diverse Halal, Halal-Ready, and Friendly Markets of All Regions to the International Arena,” the event will feature a trade fair, free Halal medical services, and the Halal Global Academic Forum. The forum is co-hosted by the University of the Immaculate Conception and Holy Cross of Davao College, in partnership with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and will include sessions on Halal awareness, youth involvement, and innovation.

According to Marilou Ampuan, Founding President of the Philippine Halal Advocacy Corporation, the expo aims to support MSMEs in accessing both domestic and global Halal markets. A business networking session on the first day will provide opportunities for enterprises seeking investment and market expansion.

Ampuan also emphasized Davao City’s role as a rising Halal hub, citing its Halal ordinances, accredited establishments, and dedicated Halal slaughterhouse. She noted that the expo not only strengthens local Halal initiatives but also positions the city as a leader in Halal development across the Philippines.
