Imam Hassan Al-Mujtaba Modern City for the Pilgrims, affiliated with Imam Hussain Holy Shrine at Najaf-Karbala Road, announced that the city's factory produces over 1500 ice blocks every day, to be distributed to the Hussaini mourning processions to provide services to the pilgrims of Imam Hussain (PBUH).

Salam Khalil, from the Engineering Maintenance Department/Air-conditioning Unit in the City of Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba, stated to Karbala International Agency, "Under the guidance of the representative of the supreme religious authority, his eminence, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, the Ice Blocks/Cubes factory was established two years ago, aiming to provide the best services to the Al-Arbaeen Pilgrims.

He pointed out, "We have an RO station to sterilize the water in the city, and the ice factory is consuming about 50K liters of water every day.

He concluded, "The city hosts massive numbers of pilgrims daily, leading to huge consumption of ice and cold water, all of which is dedicated to providing the best services for Al-Arbaeen pilgrims.
